On location shooting with Eva

I've been meaning to catch up on these. Here's something from March:

During my short Spring break from school, one of my old photographers from the school newspaper and I checked out Washington, DC to shoot some photographs on location.

Hilariously, the DC metro was shutdown the day we went to the city. On the plus side, I threw my speedlight kit in the trunk of my coupe just in case.

Upon arriving, I sought out an alleyway for soft, even light as the midday-sun was too harsh for flattering portraits.

I couldn't leave my octo-box at home, so we took some off-camera lighting portraits after dinner.

We ordered (almost) everything on the appetizer menu.

The sunset was particularly interesting, and made for a great backlight.
